Q: I recently rebuilt my 6.7 Cummins, fully deleted the emissions with a 5' turbo back straight exhaust system. It ran great after I put it all back together but just recently when under load it. With any Isata 5 Series Super C diesel motorhome by Dynamax, the driver will appreciate the 360 HP from the 6.7L I6 turbo diesel engine, the Cummins Smart exhaust brake system, the RAM ESC suspension and stability package, and the tire pressuring monitoring system, plus the automatic, 4-point hydraulic leveling jacks with Bluetooth and seamless.

First time post here. A buddy told me about this site a couple of years ago and I finally made it. There is a pile of info here from the reading I've done in the last few hours. But I haven't run across my problem. 1996 NPR 4BD2TC rollback that I have had for 15 years. Exhaust brake has never worked. I dove into it some today. Found a broke wire at the throttle pedal micro switch. Hooked it up and the exhaust brake went to surging repeatedly off and on. Quick reading of voltage at the magnetic vacuum switch on frame revealed 6 volts to 13 volts back and forth. I guess that explains the surging. If I run jumper wires + and - to magnetic switch, ex. brake works fine. Comes in and stays in with no fluttering. The combination switch at steering wheel seems to work. It clicks on and off and the light on the dash goes on and off. But the ex. brake stays on constantly surging unless I step lightly on the throttle pedal when everything is hooked up like factory. Is it a shorted throttle switch and/or combination switch?? Any ideas?? I'm wondering of previous owner cut the wire at the throttle pedal for a quick fix to just shut it all down. Thanks.
